On 7 July 2009, the sun rose over Uhuru Peak at 6.25am and set at 6.45pm. The moon was 100% lit — a full-moon summit night, bright enough to walk the scree without a head torch. From the previous evening's sunset to sunrise, the summit night ran 11 hours 40 minutes. No climber is registered for this morning yet.
